THE new North Wales police chief was named last night.
Mark Polin, currently Deputy Chief Constable at Gloucester, will succeed controversial Richard Brunstrom as Chief Constable for the North Wales force.
The 46-year-old father-of-two was chosen by North Wales Police Authority following its “rigorous selection procedure involving four candidates”.
Mr Polin said last night: “I am delighted to be appointed Chief Constable for North Wales. I look forward to working with my colleagues, members of the Police Authority and our partners to ensure that North Wales becomes even safer for those who work, live and visit the area.”
