AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD girl found hanged in her bedroom had severe learning difficulties, neighbours revealed last night.
The youngster, named locally as Charlotte Moody, was found at her home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, on Saturday morning.
Sources close to the investigation said the girl’s death appears to have been a tragic accident.
Her parents Simon and Susan Moody, who are in their early 30s, were not at their run-down Edwardian terrace home yesterday. They have been interviewed by detectives under caution, police said.
According to neighbours, Charlotte – who it is understood was known to social services – suffered from severe learning difficulties.
One 21-year-old student, who did not want to be named, said: “The mum was screaming and crying her lungs out.”
