Campaign to help consumers

A CAMPAIGN has been launched to encourage shoppers to get to grips with their consumer rights.

The move comes as a survey revealed that one in three people felt their consumer rights had been ignored and more than a quarter were more likely to complain about goods they bought during the credit crunch.

The Know Your Consumer Rights campaign is focused on ensuring that consumers know three key legal rights – goods must fit the description given, they must be of satisfactory quality and be suitable for purpose.
