A POLICE station was hastily evacuated yesterday after an elderly woman walked in off the street to hand in a hand grenade from the Second World War , police said.
The woman, who also had two rounds of ammunition to hand over to officers, walked in to Wythenshawe Police Station, Greater Manchester, at around 11.40am.
