A CARNIVAL atmosphere will come to one of Liverpool’s most famous and historic streets later this month.
The Bold Street Festival, on September 26, will see more than 50 stores joining forces for a day of music, dancing, art and food.
It will be the second festival to be held after its successful launch last year.
The event aims to celebrate Bold Street’s variety of shops, art, culture, dining places and entertainment.
Among the attractions on offer will be street entertainers, graffiti artists, and cooking demonstrations.
One of the main features will be the transformation of an empty unit into a small cinema.
Patrons will be able to enjoy the full cinema experience with smartly dressed ushers, velvet curtains, ice cream intervals and popcorn.
The Maggie May cafe will also be holding tasting surveys of its Scouse dish.
Kate Cowie, of the Bold Street Traders Association, said: “We are all really excited about the festival and to see all of our hard work in action.
“With the change in Liverpool city centre, it is reassuring to see Bold Street still thriving today.
“That is the reason why we want to celebrate the well-loved street we all trade on.”
