A NINE-MILE stretch of river turned a bright shade of orange after iron ore washed out of an old mine, the Environment Agency said.
Iron ore, which had been washed out of an old mine, poured into the River Calder which runs through Halifax. The colour has dissipated as the water flows towards the Humber, officials said.
