Marine band in charity concert
THE Band of HM Royal Marines Commando Training Centre is set to perform in a charity concert at the Philharmonic Hall tomorrow.
Money raised from the 7.30pm event will go towards the Royal Marines Association.
They band will be supported by Liverpool mezzo soprano Kathryn Rudge.
The 23-year-old, who was the first winner of the first Merseyside Young Singer of the Year Competition in 2004, is currently in her final post-graduate year of opera studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, in Manchester.
Tomorrow’s programme will include stirring military music and big band numbers.
