Liverpool and Wirral lawyers join-up for cross-river networking event

LAWYERS from both sides of the river met up at Liverpool Law Society’s inaugural Wirral roadshow event.

LLS is embarking on a mass outreach campaign, aimed at boosting its profile among Wirral’s solicitors.

It kicked off the roadshow at New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion with a series of seminars and an exhibition last week.

Three headline speakers addressed delegates on practice management, mergers and networking.

Spearheading the campaign is Norman Jones, LLS joint honorary secretary and chair of its Wirral project sub- committee.

He said: “The event proved a great success, and I could not have been more pleased with the turnout.

“The event proves how much the Society cares for its members. I hope that Wirral solicitors will continue to support the efforts of the Society in future events.

“Steve Maddocks, the chief executive of the Wirral Borough Council, has stated how delighted he was at the success of the roadshow and the council will give its full support to other Wirral events the Society holds in the future.”

More than 150 delegates turned out last Thursday for the event, which also included careers advice for graduates hoping to get into law.

LLS says more roadshow events are in the pipeline.
