Mountain rescue team keep their boots on for TV strip show

A MOUNTAIN rescue team – which covers parts of Wirral and Cheshire – was exposed to more than just the treacherous elements when they stripped off for Gok Wan’s How To Look Good Naked.

The Channel 4 stylist surprised the group after they applied to be part of his new series.

The North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) team agreed to ditch their mountain gear for a photo shoot to “show the UK how to celebrate body confidence”.

But being safety aware, team members kept their sensible footwear on.

Team member Richard Dobson said: “Once you got over the initial fact of ’I’m naked on the side of the mountain’ you forget about it completely and concentrate on trying to get the pose right and making sure everything is standing correct.”

Wan said:“I am very, very proud indeed of these guys. They were confident, strong and honest.”
