A LIVERPOOL graduate attending a climate change conference will cycle more than 800 miles to reduce his carbon footprint.
Darran Martin, 25, has set himself the task of cycling to and from Copenhagen to attend the United Nations Climate Change conference in December.
Darran, from Aigburth, who has just finished an International Development degree at Liverpool University, plans to cycle 100 miles a day over four days, solo.
He said: “I will be one of the delegates representing the UK Youth Climate Coalition and started to think about my own carbon footprint.
“The least possible footprint is by walking or cycling and the cycling sounded the better option.”
As part of his mission, Darran is also hoping to raise near to £1,000 to help fund youth representatives to travel from Kenya.
