NEW zones to allow police to move on people suspected of anti-social behaviour are being introduced in St Helens.
Sutton Heath is the latest area given a “Section 30” order which will come into force next week.
The police and council-backed order will operate 24 hours a day until midnight on April 18, 2010.
Merseyside Police Neighbourhood Inspector Tim Kelly said: “Residents have told us about the ongoing intimidation and persistent anti-social behaviour that they are being subjected to in this area.
“Dispersal orders can be incredibly successful.
“It is just one of the tactics we use to combat anti-social behaviour.”
