A LIVERPOOL student has miraculously survived a 26ft plunge from a bathroom window.
Chloe McDonough fell into the street last weekend when she returned home from a night out in Leeds city centre.
The 20-year-old suffered a catalogue of broken bones, and medics said they were amazed she was still alive.
The former Liverpool College pupil has regained consciousness and has now been able to speak to her mother, Vanda, on a number of occasions.
Yesterday, Mrs McDonough, from Childwall, said she was terrified she had nearly lost her “best friend”.
The 42-year-old said: “Chloe is my world, I’m absolutely devastated, she has everything going for her.
“Psychologically, she’s got a big battle ahead with all her injuries, but she’s such a strong person and I’m sure she’ll come through.”
The ex-Rudston Road primary school pupil has undergone two operations and doctors initially feared she had suffered brain damage.
A passer-by found her on the pavement at 3.17am and, because of her injuries, police at first assumed she had been run over by a car.
Chloe, who is in her second year of a law degree at Leeds Metropolitan University, had returned home alone after clubbing with friends.
The 20-year-old had earlier complained of not feeling well, but she has no tangible memories of what happened when she returned home to her Derwentwater Terrace house, in Headingley.
