“The idea is to give our guests an opportunity to see the cathedral in a different light, and to raise awareness of it as a venue for corporate entertaining – so we can continue to welcome visitors free of charge.”
Margaret Harry, fund managing trustee, added: “Jane Russell, who I am told is deeply religious, asked if she could sing in the cathedral and we are delighted she will be opening the evening.”
