A MERSEYSIDE woman was the last person to take to Antony Gormley’s Fourth Plinth – and dedicated her time to the 96 Liverpool fans who died at Hillsborough.
Emma Burns, 30, a medical photographer originally from Formby, read out a tribute to each of the victims and then released a balloon.
Emma, who now lives in Darlington, said: “Both my dad and my brother were at Hillsborough. He thought it would be a fitting tribute in the 20th anniversary year.
“I researched all 96 and sent what I was going to say to the Hillsborough Family Support Group, who said it was all fine.”
Gormley’s One & Other has seen a different person take their place on the Fourth Plinth, in Trafalgar Square, London, every hour for 100 days, until it closed at 9am yesterday.
