HIT soul-pop act The Christians headlined a charity dinner in aid of the NSPCC last night.
Liverpool-born singer Garry Christian and his band played an acoustic set at the event, which was held in the Stables pub, Garston.
The “Come Feast With Us” night included a three-course dinner with Champagne, a raffle and charity auction, hosted by It’s A Knockout presenter Stuart Hall.
Up for auction were a signed original Christians vinyl LP, two front-row tickets to their upcoming Liverpool Philharmonic gig and a signed, framed Everton shirt.
Cathy Frost, representing the NSPCC last night, said: “Despite the fact there are so many fundraising events at the moment, there was a good turn-out.
“We cannot estimate how much we raised, but the signs are good and the atmosphere was brilliant.”
All proceeds went to Liverpool’s Safe Place Appeal, which funds the Hargreaves Centre, in Everton, for young people affected by domestic violence, and ChildLine.
