A TOP-QUALITY colour printer has been withdrawn from sale after it became a favourite with fraudsters.
Scotland Yard detectives asked retailers to take the £750 machine off the shelves after discovering it at several counterfeiting factories.
Investigators believe the business model could have been used to create thousands of false identity documents. They said the machine created particularly realistic EU driving licences and versions of the forthcoming national identity card.
