A ST HELENS school has used the town’s historic links with the glass industry to create a stunning new piece of art.
St Teresa’s Catholic Primary has just opened a £50,000 extension which includes new offices, sensory room and play area for reception children.
The centre-piece of the extension at the 120-year-old school is three panels made up of individual glass tiles designed by every pupil, helped by glass artist Deborah Moses.
The glass was donated by Pilkington, which has been in St Helens since 1826 and employs 2,000 people in the town.
