Liverpool cancer survivors meet with Marina Dalglish

FOUR young women have formed a support group after they were all diagnosed with breast cancer.

Kate Long, Vicki Hurst, Candice Cooke and Jo Hardman call themselves “breast friends” and forged a friendship after meeting at Aintree University Hospitals Breast Unit.

All the women, in their 20s and early 30s, have successfully undergone treatment at the Marina Dalglish Centre at the hospital.

They met up with Marina to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Week.

One in nine women will develop breast cancer at some point in their lives, and charities are urging people to raise funds for research into cures and treatment.

TO SUPPORT Marina’s appeal to raise £5m towards a new radiotherapy centre at the Walton Centre in Fazakerley, join her buy a brick campaign.
