AN 11-YEAR-OLD Merseyside boy was tragically found hanging at the care home where he lived.
Teachers found the body of Dylan McDonald in his bedroom at the Appletree Centre, just outside Kendal. The youngster was suspended from a large Victorian window at the home.
Dylan, from Kirkby, was cut down, still alive, and rushed to a hospital in Lancaster, where he later died. Staff told the family other children were in the home’s yard at the time and spotted Dylan’s hanging body on Wednesday afternoon.
Yesterday, his family paid tribute to Dylan and described him as a “happy lad” who had shown no warning signs in recent weeks. They added he was looking forward to visiting Knowsley to see his dad Peter and mum Sharon at Halloween and Christmas.
Police officers from Cumbria are not treating the death as suspicious.
