Brave Ella Wright loses fight for life after bone marrow transplant

Ella Wright

Ella and Sam became campaigners for the Anthony Nolan Trust and thousands of Merseysiders signed up to the bone marrow register after being moved by their plight.

Victoria Moffett, from the trust, said: “The Wright family made a substantial difference by speaking publicly about their daughter and we greatly appreciate their contribution.

“Despite having so much to consider within their family, they highlighted the need for bone marrow donors, not only for Ella but for the 16,000 other people in need of a transplant.”

Ella’s funeral will take place at Ainsdale Methodist church on Friday November 6 at 1.30pm.

Flowers are welcome – pink were the little girl’s favourite – or any donations to the bone marrow unit of the Royal Manchester children’s hospital.
