Greenway opened

THE latest section of the Chester Millennium Greenway has been officially opened.

The opening ceremony was performed by eight- year-old twins Catherine and Daniel Savidge and Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Prosperity Executive Member, Cllr Herbert Manley.

More than 500 people took part in the opening event and 170 walked the new route from the New Scene building, in the Newton area of Chester, to Mickle Trafford and Guilden Sutton.

There was also a sponsored walk, and fun activities and attractions included a climbing wall and face painting.
