Andrew Collinge will be guest speaker at NSPCC black tie ball at Wirral’s Hillbark Hotel

A drinks reception, casino tables and L'Oreal Professional gifts for guests are also part of the evening. All money raised will go to the Safe Place Appeal, which funds Everton’s Hargreaves Centre.

The Childline base receives 7,500 calls every day and runs a domestic violence project and has a substance misuse team.

Cathy Frost, who chairs the NSPCC's fundraising committee, said: "This event is going to be a huge amount of fun.

“It is the first time we've ventured into Wirral for a fundraising event – everything we've organised for the Safe Place Appeal so far has been in Liverpool, and we wanted to take it outside of the city.

"Hillbark is absolutely gorgeous and we're really happy that we've secured it for the ball. This event will have something for everyone.”

Paul Mullins, marketing manager at the hotel, said: “We are very much part of the Wirral community and the Liverpool city region, and we’re delighted to support the NSPCC’s first venture outside Liverpool.

“It’s going to be a fantastic evening, our marquee held the illustrious private Westlife gig and will be dressed to impress.”

TICKETS cost £75 each with tables of 10 available. To reserve your place, call 07971291323 or email hgazzola@nspcc.org.uk
