CHILDREN will be removed from a Merseyside school by parents angry over the decision to install Wi-Fi.
Phil Hughes, 58, said he was left with no choice but to remove daughter, Serena, nine, from Woodlands Primary School, Formby.
William O’Shaughnessy, 39, has also decided to remove his children Jade, nine, and Shay, five.
They had campaigned against the school’s plans because of fears for their children’s health being exposed to emissions from new wireless laptops.
They launched the petition after being sent letters saying Wi-Fi would be installed and called for a meeting to be held involving parents.
Despite being presented with the petition, signed by 41 parents, school governors and headteacher Simon Grilli decided the installation would go ahead this week.
The letter told parents the Wi-Fi will only be switched on in December and to ring with concerns.
A Sefton Council spokesman said: “We are aware the school has delayed the switch-on to allow parents to speak to the chair of governors and seek assurances.”
