PLANS to create a children’s centre in a Wirral library look set to be approved by the council.
Children’s centres can offer help with childcare, finding a job or a training course, health information, support, parenting advice or can simply be a place to meet other parents in the area.
Wirral Council’s ruling cabinet will consider proposals at its next meeting on November 5 for a new children’s centre as an extension to the Greasby Library building.
Liberal Democrat ward councillors in Greasby, Frankby and Irby have welcomed the proposals.
Wirral West Parliamentary Candidate, Cllr Peter Reisdorf said of the scheme: “This is a much welcomed £250,000 investment for facilities in Greasby.”
