THE acclaimed Shankly Show, one of the highlights of Liverpool’s Capital of Culture year, is to return for two special pre-Christmas shows at The BT Convention Centre, at Kings Dock.
The dates on Thursday and Friday, December 17 and 18, will mark the 50th anniversary of Shankly arriving at Anfield, which comes up on December 19. It will be the first theatre play in the new auditorium at the Convention Centre.
A sell-out success at The Olympia and Royal Court theatres in 2008, writer Andrew Sherlock’s epic show about LFC’s most famous manager will once again feature Scottish actor Sandy West, whose performance so wowed the critics in 2008, with big screen footage and graphics displayed on huge video screens.
