SEFTON’S stop smoking advisers have been recognised for their accomplishments during the last 10 years.
Four members of NHS Sefton’s SUPPORT stop smoking team, based in Litherland, received long service certificates at a special event at the House of Commons marking a decade of stop smoking services.
During the past 10 years, more than 17,300 Sefton residents have given up smoking thanks to their local NHS services.
Last year saw the best results yet, with 2,522 people kicking the habit between April, 2008, and March, 2009.
