NORTH-WEST soldiers will go head-to-head with Yorkshire soldiers at the War of the Roses Charity boxing match in Saviles Hall, Leeds, on November 12, at 8pm.
The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment and The Yorkshire Regiment will box under Army Boxing Association rules to see who is the toughest.
There will be nine bouts on the night, with boxers coming from all battalions of both regiments.
All the proceeds raised from the event will go to charities such as The Army Benevolent Fund, Help for Heroes and to the Regimental Associations, which support serving and injured soldiers.
