Cllr Davies said he was seeking to have an urgent meeting of the committee called to resolve the confusion, and yesterday was still seeking legal advice.
He said: “I have asked for advice about what the redress is, because I think the vote was miscounted.”
There will, though, be a scheduled meeting of the committee before cabinet meets when the minutes will be discussed.
A spokeswoman for Wirral Council said last night the outcome of the scrutiny committee will be referred to Cabinet on November 26.
She said: “There is also a scheduled meeting of the Children and Young People’s overview and scrutiny committee on November 16, where the draft minutes of last night’s meeting will be considered.”
