KENNEDY: WHY I QUIT
She was tight-lipped about who might replace her as the Labour candidate in Wavertree, the party’s National Executive Committee due to determine the process on November 17.
“I think we need someone with energy and enthusiasm, that is committed to Labour and our standards.
“Someone who can enthuse the local Labour party members and win the support of voters.”
Ms Kennedy said she would be glad to have more time to herself.
“I have missed doing so many things that I wanted to be able to do. I want to be able to learn how to speak French properly.
“I am also looking to do more things with my dogs. I have recently bought a new Belgian Shepherd puppy and I am looking forward to training him and competing.”
