Volunteer Nichola Bremner honoured at St Helens event

COMMUNITY volunteers celebrated at a glittering awards ceremony in St Helens as teenage mum Nichola Bremner, 19, won the Bright Young Star award for her youth work.

Eddie McConville received the ‘Reaching Out’ trophy for voluntary work with groups including the Family Centre and Animal Protection Society.

Flats in Bloom scooped the ‘Together We Can’ award for their work.
