FORMER Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon and ex-Neighbours star Jason Donovan are to appear in Jeff Wayne’s The War Of The Worlds.
The duo will follow in the footsteps of former Brookside favourite Jennifer Ellison when they perform in The War Of The Worlds – Alive On Stage! at the Echo Arena on December 7 next year.
The show goes on tour from November 2010 to January 2011 throughout Europe and the UK.
Wayne will conduct the 10-piece Black Smoke Band, along with 36-piece ULLAdubULLA Strings.
The show will feature a 3D hologram of Richard Burton, who narrates the story, and a 35ft Martian fighting machine, which will fire heat rays at the audience and scan them with its bug-like eyes.
Also featured in the performance will be a range of effects, including pyrotechnics, leaf-drops and flame effects.
Wayne said: “I am most excited about Jason and Liz joining our newest production.
“Having worked with them both in my studio, developing their roles, I know they will bring their own individual magic.”
