THREE masked men forced their way into a Merseyside home and stole jewellery from its terrified occupants.
Police were called to a house in Tarbock Green at around 11pm on Tuesday following the break-in.
The thieves took jewellery from an upstairs bedroom, including some items of sentimental value, such as a platinum ring, with a ruby set in diamond, bought for a recent wedding anniversary.
The occupants, a man and woman in their 60s, were in at the time of the incident and were left extremely shaken.
Detective Inspector Tom Keaton said: “This was a particularly nasty incident and we are following up a number of positive leads.”
ANYONE with information or any person or shop who has been offered an item of similar jewellery is asked to call 0151 777 6565.
