Royal Mail van gets stuck between lamp post and garden wall in Southport
A ROAD accident left a Post Office van sandwiched between a lamppost and a garden wall.
The mail van appeared to have collided with a another vehicle, which was left stranded in the middle of Southbank road, Southport, leaking petrol.
Both vehicles suffered serious damage in the accident and car parts were left strewn all over the road.
Merseyside police attended the scene and officers were seen diverting traffic past the accident, which took place at around 6pm yesterday.
