A BRITISH man denied disrupting a transatlantic flight after he was hauled off a plane for refusing to move his injured arm.
John Alexander Murray, 50, of Lochalsh Crescent, Milton of Campsie, Glasgow, was arrested by police at Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, on Monday night.
Prosecutors claim he blocked the plane’s aisle with his arm, which is in a splint following a motorcycle accident. He then argued with an air steward and became belligerent and disruptive before being removed, it is alleged.
At East Boston District Court yesterday, Murray was charged with interfering with a flight crew. He pleaded not guilty and was bailed.
The US Airways flight from Philadelphia was due to fly non-stop to London, but it was diverted to Boston after crew became concerned over the behaviour of Murray.
Murray is due before a Boston court on December 1.
