CHESTER University has launched a new course for people who want to become detectives.
The course is part of a long-term partnership with Cheshire Constabulary, and the programme in Criminal Investigation was launched at the University of Chester’s Warrington campus.
It is designed for police officers who wish to work in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The first students were welcomed onto the Graduate Diploma in Criminal Investigation by Phil Thompson, Assistant Chief Constable of Cheshire Constabulary, and David Balsamo, Dean of Social Science.
The programme involves modules in the investigative interviewing of witnesses, victims and suspects and the principles and practice of investigations.
