Man accused of breaking into Liverpool FC ace's Formby Steven Gerrard’s home to go before Crown Court

A MAN accused of breaking into Steven Gerrard’s home was committed to Crown Court for trial.

Martin Wilson, 22, is charged with breaking into the England and Liverpool star’s mansion on December 11, 2007.

The Liverpool captain’s wife, Alex Curran, was confronted by four masked raiders at their house in Formby.

Wilson, of Hollowcroft, Stockbridge Village, appeared before Southport magistrates’ accused of burglary and robbery.

He will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on March 16.
