WIRRAL Council is to consider setting up an independent company to carry out social services tasks.
In a report to cabinet , social services director John Webb said: “The rationale behind this is to promote the flexibility of services that are more able to respond to changes in people’s demand once they are in control of their own resources.”
It is part of the “Personalisation agenda” which gives people the right to decide how to spend their budgets.
