TRIBUTE band the Mersey Beatles celebrated 10 years of playing classics for fans all over the world with a surprise reception at the Hard Day’s Night Hotel, in Liverpool city centre.
The band started out rehearsing in a pub cellar in the early 1999.
Since then, they have become Cavern Club residents and perform at many Liverpool attractions.
They have headlined at Beatles festivals in over 20 different countries including Australia, Malaysia, Italy, Sweden, Norway and Germany.
General manager of Hard Day’s Night Hotel, Mike Dewey, said the hotel wanted to thank the band for their support, after playing at its opening in 2008.
Of their milestone, the band said: “We’ve been swept along by the whole adventure.
“We love Liverpool and The Beatles and we hope we’ve done them proud. After all, that’s the reason we started the band in the first place.”
