UNION chiefs said they could not rule out further walk-outs at crisis-hit HMP Liverpool after “disappointing” talks with senior Prison Service officials.
The meeting in London yesterday took place against a background of rising tension at the jail, where an unofficial 24-hour walk-out by hundreds of prison officers took place last week.
They have complained of bullying and harassment by senior managers at the prison.
After the meeting, North West POA representative Steve Baines said: “We are disappointed as we received no assurances they would investigate the allegations and they were satisfied prison managers have done nothing wrong.”
Prison officers at HMP Liverpool will meet on Friday.
