Liverpool pupils become bullies to avoid being victims

LIVERPOOL pupils are turning into bullies to avoid being victims themselves, according to a new report.

A survey of 1,000 children, aged seven to 14 in England, including Liverpool, found a quarter of pupils who admitted to hitting, kicking or punching another child did it because they were dared by friends or feared they would be picked on if they did not.

And nearly a third who took part in the Advisory Centre for Education and Netmums survey admitted calling other children names because everyone else did it or they would be snubbed.
