Wirral businessman James Pope killed in crash

A WIRRAL entrepreneur was killed as he drove to pick up promotional banners for his latest business venture.

James Pope, 41, from Wallasey, died instantly when a white van crashed into his Citroen C Crosser two weeks ago in Chester.

Mr Pope, who ran his own business, was in the process of expanding his business portfolio.

The morning he died, he had held a breakfast meeting called “Juice” which he had recently launched.

His wife of 10 years paid tribute to her husband.

Mel Pope said: “The business was evolving and doing really well. Everything was falling into place for us.

“After the meeting, I told him how proud I was of him and got to say everything I wanted to.”

Funeral details have been published on his website.
