A MAN was seriously injured last night when he was hit by a taxi in Chester.
At 10.43pm a pedestrian crossing the A56 Hoole Road near to Vicarage Road, north of the city centre, was knocked down by a blue Vauxhall Vectra taxi being driven by a 37-year-old driver.
He suffered serious head injuries and was taken by ambulance to Countess of Chester Hospital where he is today in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the taxi, and his two passengers, were unhurt.
No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
