A MAN was due in court today charged with a murder in Wirral.
Father-of-two John Boyd, 38, was stabbed to death after a fight at a house in Birkenhead Road, Seacombe, close to his home on Friday evening.
Friends said Mr Boyd was born in Liverpool but had lived in the Wallasey area most of his life.
Floral tributes have been left outside the scene and a Facebook site has been set up by his grieving family.
Forensic examinations were carried out at the scene.
CCTV footage of the scene has also been examined.
Martin Peters, 45, of Briardale Road, Wallasey, has been charged with Mr Boyd’s murder.
He was due to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today.
