A MAN was taken to hospital after trying to tackle a grill fire at his home.
Firefighters had to rescue the 64-year-old from the blaze at the house in Rushey Hey Road, Kirkby.
He was overcome by smoke after throwing water over a flash fire caused by a build-up of grease.
