Nice day for a Marco Pierre White wedding

Nice day for a (Marco Pierre) White wedding
CELEBRITY chef Marco Pierre White is offering his services to wedding parties at his new West Lancashire venue – for a cool £20,000 a time.
Hell’s Kitchen star White is putting his name to three restaurants in the region in the new year.
But the icing on the (wedding) cake is the news that he could personally be on hand in the kitchen for a couple’s big day – at the right price.
The West Tower hotel and restaurant and the Swan Inn in Aughton, as well as Doubletree by Hilton Chester, will all bear White’s name in the new year – his first business ventures outside the South- East.
In an irresistible pun, his new endeavour will be called White Weddings.
And, as an added bonus, couples with extra money to spare can pay extra for the celebrity chef to personally cater for them.
It all adds to the ethos previously described by the serial groom – who has been married three times – that he is bringing “romance” back to the restaurant and fine dining scene.
He said: “Romance is what it’s all about in this industry, it’s what customers look for, but this is what a lot of modern-day venues lack.
“Romance is the only thing that never dates – so I will invite my guests to step into a truly romantic environment.”
White added: “This marks a new chapter in my career, I’ve never lost my Northern roots and I can’t wait to bring the next generation of events cuisine to the region.
“It’s about the occasion, about being with your family and friends, the experience as a whole.
Management at West Tower claim that a number of celebrity couples have already made inquiries about the wedding service, which has just opened to the public for bookings.
General manager Brian Gamble said: “It’s a major coup to be bringing Marco Pierre White to the West Tower and the North-West. By becoming an exclusive Marco Pierre White private hire venue, we now have the platform to offer our guests an unrivalled wedding, conference and events service.”
West Tower is undergoing a full refurbishment ahead of its reopening in January, and will boast a newly constructed glass-walled dining area and 17 brand new guest rooms, all designed to meet Marco Pierre White’s own standards. The venue will offer a tailor-made service, including exclusive use of the venue and its bedrooms.
