More than 100 police officers blitzed South Liverpool drug dens yesterday

EIGHT people were arrested during a series of drugs raids in Liverpool.

Around 100 police officers searched 14 addresses in the Speke and Garston area.

The operation was a result of local residents’ concerns about the supply of drugs and associated crime.

Police discovered a cannabis factory with plants with a street value of several thousand pounds in Conleach Road, in Speke.

Six men and two women were arrested on conspiracy to supply cocaine.
