Reindeers, Christmas trees and decorations bring the festive spirit to Liverpool

REINDEERS, 40ft Christmas trees and traditional Victorian decorations – Christmas has arrived in Liverpool.

A family of Santa’s reindeers have decided to make Liverpool their temporary home.

The herd of Cairngorm reindeers will be in the city centre on December 10 and 17 before their busy evening on Christmas Eve. Father Christmas will be there, too.

At Liverpool Cathedral, five men, a mini-tractor and a winch put the 40ft spruce into place.

The tree, sourced from Grizedale Forest, in the Lake District, will now be decorated by two people on a cherry picker with 2,400 lights and other decorations.

At Sudley House, Aigburth, children enjoyed Christmas themed events, and can explore the galleries on a storytelling adventure to discover more about Victorian family life.
