Chris Cureton
A MOTORIST was stunned to receive a £30 ticket for playing music too loudly on his car radio.
Christopher Cureton, 41, from Seacombe, is appealing against the fine after being pulled over while he was listening to rock band The Killer’s hit, Human.
The ticket said he was producing “excessive noise” in a manner which “could have been avoided by the exercise of reasonable care”.
Father-of-one Mr Cureton said: “I was aghast that I had committed an offence and I think many other people would be, too. I’m not some boy racer with a big sound system fitted in my boot.”
His case will be heard at Birkenhead Magistrates’ Court on February 5.
A Merseyside police spokeswoman said: “As proceedings are on-going, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
