Liverpool churches launch Christmas reminder radio adverts

CHURCHES on Merseyside are launching their first-ever radio advertising campaign, to remind people of the true meaning of Christmas.

The Diocese of Liverpool has clubbed together with other denominations to fund two adverts on the city’s commercial radio stations.

They offer a humorous take on the traditional Christmas story.

One advert takes the form of a Christmas chart rundown and the other takes the form of commentary on a police car chase.

The Diocese of Liverpool joined with the Salvation Army, the United Reformed Church, the Methodist church, Together for the Harvest and the Free Church Council, representing Baptists, United Reform Church, Independent Methodists, the Salvation Army and Methodists.
