THE National Law Society is celebrating after the Ministry of Justice dropped its plans for Best Value Tendering (BVT) for certain types of legal aid work.
Ministers said the Legal Services Commission’s plans were “unlikely to lead to the efficient, restructured legal services market”.
The LSC was due to roll out BVT to three areas next month, but lawyers had warned firms would go bust.
